Bago approves dissolution of Niger SUBEB

Gov. Mohammed Bago of Niger State has approved the immediate dissolution of the state Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB).

This is contained in a statement by the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Abubakar Usman, on Friday in Minna.

According to the SSG, the decision was part of the administration’s ongoing efforts to reposition and strengthen the education sector for enhanced efficiency, accountability and improved service delivery.

The SSH directed members of the dissolved Board, including the Secretary, to hand over all official documents, assets and responsibilities of the Board to the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education.

The governor expressed appreciation to the outgoing board members for their service and contributions to the growth and development of basic education in Niger and wished them success in their future endeavors.
