Following the recent rancour and heavy allegations against each other, the marriage between actress Regina Daniels and her politician husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, remains solid and unshaken, Nwoko told the BBC in a trending video.
The video said to be three years old resurfaced after another video from the house of Nwoko revealed
This serves as a warning to those who had taken sides in the marital fracas with some accusing Regina, a Nollywood star, of being a gold digger while others accused Nwoko of being a wife-beater and bad influence on Regina.
Recall that Regina had in the video accused her husband of physically assaulting her and said she could no longer put up with the alleged abuse, Nwoko countered, alleging that the 25-year-old actress was addicted to drugs and had destroyed his property several times while under the influence of hard drugs.
In the trending interview said to have been recorded after the couple had already welcomed their first child, Nwoko said he never courted Regina, saying he does no believing in dating women.
“We married within three weeks. I married all my wives within the same period. I don’t believe in dating anybody to marry them. When you marry them, you need to fall in love from within the marriage,” he said.
Our marriage was built on understanding and respect,” and rooted in traditional values he grew up with, the 65 years old said.
But there are indications that family members have stepped him to mend any perceived crack in the marriage.
Regina’s brother has declared on social media that she will not grant any interviews on the matter. There is no marriage without problems and what goes up must come down, he wrote.
